Default Send To option in Office 07

I have been reading that the Send To option is greyed out in the Student/Home
version of Office 07. Is the option available in Professional version? We
use this daily at the office and if this is not available we need to be
thinking of a work around.

If you're buying Office for "the office," then you shouldn't be buying the
Home & Student version. It is strictly for the home and student markets. It
is branded "Not for commercial use" in the program title bar.

For a work environment, I would think that you would want to get Office 2007
Standard, at the very least. Standard includes Outlook, for email (as well
as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote). See this link for a complete
listing of suites and what comes in each version:

Herb,
We are not buying home & student version for the office. I just hadn' read
anywhere if the "send to" option is available for the commercial versions.

Herb,
Unfortuantely the link you supplied didn't answer my question. Can you use
the Send To option in any of the Office 07 versions?

I didn't fully understand your question before. Sorry for not answering it.

In our Office 2007 installations, there is no "Send To" (Professional,
Ultimate, and Small Business) in Word/Excel/etc--it's Send (Office button -
Send). But, I assume you're talking about the same thing.

Send is working fine in the different versions of Office 2007 I'm looking
at -- Professional and Ultimate. Send options I see are E-mail (as
attachment), E-mail as PDF attachment, Email as XPS attachment, and Internet
Fax.

I would expect it to work fine in all versions that include Outlook.

I've never seen the Home & Student version, but I'm kind of surprised that
making OE or Windows Mail the default email handler doesn't make Send
available. I don't have that version, so I can't verify if that's the case.
