document with different types of page numbers at different sections
I'm editing a book and I have a few problems with getting the pages
numbered properly. Take the first 10 pages of the book (the preface)... I'd like to have roman numerals for them (i, ii, iii, etc...), but when the actual first chapter starts, I'd like to have "regular" numbers start at 1 (1, 2, 3, etc...)for example. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to do this... Could someone please shed some light on this for me? Another thing I'm trying to figure out is how to have the title of the book appear at the top of every page of the book, but have the chapter's title appear as well. I know this probably involves master pages, etc... but I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone help me? Jim |
