Default How do I change MS Office default font for inactive areas

I cannot find a way to change the default font in Windows (i.e. the one now
in use). Not sure how else to ask that question. It's the font that is in
use, for example, to the left of this message box on my computer where a
subject is described or information is given. Sorry, can't do better than
that explanation !! Thanks.
