Default Column Header in Calendar Work Week view

My work week is set to include all 7 days. When viewing the calendar (even on
a 1920x1200 display setting on 24" monitor) it only shows the month and day
as column header in the work week view for each. (M-DD format) I'd like it to
show MM-DD and more importantly I'd like it to show the day (Mon, Tue etc)
also in the column header. Is it possible?

Reset your Long Date Format under Control Panel-Regional Settings.
