Default How do I stop new emails from being sent to the delete folder?

Recently, my new email messages started being moved from my in box to my
delete folder automatically. All emails are being handled this way. I am
not aware of creating any type of rule to cause this to happen. It is very
frustrating. Any help in correcting this situation would be appreciated.

Check your rules.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, BuzzMaster asked:

I have only 2 rules. They have bneen in place and unchanged since I got this
computer. I made no changes to them prior to the redirection of all of my
incoming mail. I rechecked my rules and they are unchanged.

The action is that the mail does come into my in box, but is immediately
moved out of the in box to my delete folder. This is really troubling and I
would appreciate any help in resolving it.
