Hi mfeld,

Do you mean linking Visio charting shapes to Excel data, or have you pasted
a Visio "object" into an Excel Worksheet?

The question's a bit unclear, and we want to get you the best answer
possible!

Chris,

Looking for any help at all, to this point I've done nothing with the files.
I was forwarded a few simple org charts that were created in Visio that I'd
like to edit, but we do not have Visio in-house.

Oh dear!
So, unless the Visio files are vdx files, and all you want to do is chnage
text, then I don't think you'll be able to edit them without Visio.

Hi, I've found that if you export the entire visio page (Edit/SelectAll
File/SaveAs) to the .wmf format, you can drop the .wmf file in to PowerPoint.
When you double-click on the object, it asks you if you want to "convert" the
file for editing. If you select "yes", it will let you change text, and
that's about all. This doesn't work if you copy/paste from Visio to
Powerpoint. Only if you SaveAs a .wmf and then Insert/Picture/FromFile in
Powerpoint. I use Visio2000 and Powerpoint2003. I assume it works that way
with newer versions of either program.
