How do you Plot a Zero Value in a Pivot Chart?
I am using pivot charts to plot events over time for various vendors.
The problem is that if there was no occurrence for a particular month, that month is skipped in the pivot chart. (I.E. you might get a chart that plots only two months in a six month period). Since I am using the pivot table to total records that fall under a vendor in each month, I cannot add a zero record, or Excel counts that as an event and would give it a value of one. Does anyone know how to make the pivot chart show months that are "non-hits"? Thank you, Ken Black |

Double-click the date button, and add a check mark to 'Show items with
no data' Ken Black wrote: I am using pivot charts to plot events over time for various vendors. How do you Plot a Zero Value in a Pivot Chart?
Debra, You just made my day! Thank you! I had double clicked the
Date field in the pivot table layout and could not find that option. I was afraid it was one of the limitations of pivot charts, and hadn't thought of double-clicking the actual button on the table or chart! And could find no documentation of how to show zero values. Many thanks! Ken Black Debra Dalgleish wrote in message ...
