Default Can I use fill effects in office 2007 like in Mac Office X?

I'm coming over to Office 2007 from Mac Office X. In X there's an option
under Fill that lists Fill Effects... where you can add a pattern of lines or
boxes or some such to fill the shape and help identify it when printing black
and white handouts. I've searched and found no equivalent tool in 2007.
Any ideas?

Thanks

No, fill effects were deprecated in Office 2007. You could use a bitmap
image and tile it.

Best regards,
Ute
