Default read permission

I tried to compact a mdb in Access 97 but I can't the error msg "don't have
read permission ..." . Can anyone please tell me where I can set up the
permission on a table. Thanks.

Default read permission

Permissions within Access are granted by default. Only implementing security
takes them away. You may have a network permissions problem, or limited
permissions on your own machine.
