Urgently need help with a database file!!!!!!
Good day.
I really need some help! Someone here at our offices deleted a Access database file. I retrieved the file, but now it doesn't want to open!!!!!! It gives me the following error : Unrecognized database format (.mdb) Will someone please let me know what I need to do to make this database to work as soon as possible!!! Thank you Shane |

You often get that error if the database is corrupted. You should try to
compact and repair it. You might need to download and use a product called JetComp. It will often repair problems that Access can't. If that does not work, you could try creating a new databse file and importing the objects, but I doubt it will be able to see them if it is in bad shape. http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...US/JetCU40.exe If that does not work, there is a pretty good utility that will recover the recoverable data: www.accessfix.com good luck. |
