hi, I am a mining analyst... I want to plot a column chart, sorted according
to share price performance, but with the bars colored according to the
commodity the company is associated with... is this possible?

Hi Cathy,

I'm sure this is possible.
Can you provide an example of your data and it's layout, so we have
something to work with?

hi dave what is is is the relative performance of about 20 companies... some
gold, some copper, some silver etc, so i want the bars to show the actual
performance, but the bars to be colored relative to the metal
so for example if I had
SAR - gold co
EQN copper
HIG gold
Hav copper
CQT silver

the bars would be colored according to their underlying commodity..
I could send you an example if I could work out how to send you an email
