Running Headers Separate from Page Headers
It would be nice to have a feature that would allow a person to have a
running headers that float at the top of the page (the first paragraph on the page). For example: Financial Risks (continued) The heading "Financial Risks" is a heading in the middle of the previous page. The subject for that heading continues to the next page and hence "Financial Risks (continued). ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Running Headers Separate from Page Headers
Similar, but not identical, functionality exists in Word: In a single
header or footer (no section breaks required), you can insert a StyleRef field to show the "current" text of a paragraph in a certain style.
