Default Importing Custom fields into old contacts!

I created a new user field for my contact form (Percentage) and it worked
fine. BUT I have around 1000 contacts that I would like to import this new
field into. How can I do this? There is no option that I can see that allows
me to directly import this new field into old contacts. BTW I'm using Outlook
2003.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

J
