Png images don't show

I can see jpg and gif images but not pngs in OE6.
Any idea as to why it is only this format I can't see?

I don't think OE supports those. You'd have to save them and open them in
something else.

What program do they open with in your other PC? Do you have the same
program on this PC? If you do:

Save the attachment to your HDD. Right click on it and Open With | Choose
Program. Find and choose a program that works and then check the box: Always
use this program to open this kind of file. This should enable you to open
these attachments in the future.

Also, clear your TIFs.

For IE6:

Clear the Temporary Internet Files: In IE | Tools | Internet Options |
Delete Files button. And check the box to Delete Offline content.

For IE7:

Tools | Internet Options | General Tab | Browsing History | Delete Temporary
Internet Files.

I have the same program installed on both but that isn't the problem.
I can't view them in Outlook Express 6 in the newsgroups before I download
them.
And I have cleared all the files before.

association with it.

I notice that you are posing with the Vista Windows Mail program. If
the problem is with Windows Mail program, you should see the following:

For help with the Vista Windows Mail (WM) program, use this Newsgroup:

If the problem is really with OE6 on Windows XP, then I suspect that you
have a problem with the file association such as the content type not
being
"Content Type"="image/png"

OE6 is capable of displaying PNG images in the message body.

Towards the end of the section is a link to a FILEEXT program. Get that
and run it for PNG and include the results in your reply.
