Default Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Installation Issue

I am attempting to set up Microsoft Office Professional 2007 on my new
laptop, currently running on Vista. It came with a 60 day free trial of
Microsoft Office Student 2007. I was unable to get a code from my school so
i was forced to upgrade to Microsoft Office Professional 2007.

I insert Disk 1 into the CD drive, it does it's thing and begins to install.
and only seconds later an error appears. It reads:

Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Setup has stopped working.
An error occured during the installation, and Microsoft Office Professional
2007 setup was unable to complete.

It gives me the options to

Check online solution and close program
Close the Program
and
View problem details

After expanding the drop down under View problem details. it reads:

Description:
Microsoft Office Professional 2007 setup did not complete successfully. We
are sorry for the inconvenience.

Why will this not install onto my computer? Do I have to uninstall Office
Student to install it? Or is there another issue.

You have to Uninstall the Free Trial Version and the Activation Assistant,
then reboot.

You can also download the FixIt Tool from the link below to clean up the 60
days trial
