Exporting a report to Word
When you export from Access to Word the file the export creates is a rtf
file, loosing all the lines that appear in the Access report. Does anyone know of a way to construct a Word document that calls the report controls into specific areas of a Word page so that I could set up a Word template and import the data into it? Thanks Tony |

Exporting a report to Word
Tony,
About halfway down the page is a Super Easy Word Merge. This sounds like exactly what you need... http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKal.../msaccess.html -- Gina Whipp "I feel I have been denied critical, need to know, information!" - Tremors II http://www.regina-whipp.com/index_files/TipList.htm "Tony Williams" wrote in message ... Exporting a report to Word
Thanks Gina but the link seems to show details of adding fields from a
database to Word whereas I want to add controls from a report, many of which are calculated using complex queries. It's a shame that Microsoft haven't figured a wat to let us export a report to Word with all the lines and graphics instead of a simple rtf file. Exporting a report to Word
Tony,
Yes it is a shame but that's not likely to change. What about sending to a PDF document? http://www.lebans.com/reporttopdf.htm -- Gina Whipp "I feel I have been denied critical, need to know, information!" - Tremors II http://www.regina-whipp.com/index_files/TipList.htm "Tony Williams" wrote in message ... Exporting a report to Word
The end user wants to add comments and images to the report each month and
does that in a WQord document and then produces a pdf. So they take the Access report and RETYPE it. Sounds like a lot of rework to me so I was looking for a quick export solution. Thanks anyway Cheers Tony "Gina Whipp" wrote: Tony, Yes it is a shame but that's not likely to change.
