Default Adding a contact to one or multiple distribution lists

When I'm either creating or editing a contact's folder I'd like the option to
add that contact to one or many of my existing distribution lists from within
the contact's folder. Can I do that and if so, how?

No. Membership in a DL is not a Contact property. You can only add a Contact
to a DL from within the DL itself.

Thanks for your response Russ. I'm not sure MS policy however this might be
an excellent feature to consider. I use Outlook to manage almost 3,000
contact many of whom would like information and updates from me "pushed" to
their email. I've created DL for various topics and would love to use manage
their inclusion from the Contract property. Is there perhaps some other way
other than through the DL itself?

There's a good reason this feature doesn't exist and won't. DL's are a poor
choice for grouping recipients. They are notoriously unreliable, difficult
to maintain, and inflexible. You should consider Outlook's better and more
robust methods for grouping Contacts such as Categories or separate Contact
subfolders.
