Form and sub-form question (newbie)
When you use a form and sub-form e.g. a purchase order with a vendor table,
a purchase order table, and a purchase order detail table, I know the vendor to purchase order relationship has to be part of a query but does the sub-form, (the detail line items), have to be part of the query also or is the relationship established by Access because it is a sub-form of the main form? |

Form and sub-form question (newbie)
Generally, the main form has the "One"-side table of a one-to-many
relationship as it's record source, while the sub-form has the "Many"-side table as it's source. The subform control automatically inserts the primary key value from the main form into the foreign key of each record in the subform. This is done through the Link Parent - Link Child properties of the sub-form control. -- --Roger Carlson www.rogersaccesslibrary.com Reply to: Roger dot Carlson at Spectrum-Health dot Org "Ynot" wrote in message ...
