Do you mean something like: =TEXT(A1,"yyyy")&WEEKNUM(A1)&WEEKDAY(A1) For today, that is 2004253 The WEEKNUM and WEEKDAY functions do have extra arguments which you should check out, in case you need to use them -- Andy.
