opening .pub documents with other apps ??

Default opening .pub documents with other apps ??

is it possible to open a .pub document with other
applications - have a file that my kid created and needs
to open - but our computer was rebuilt and no longr have
access to Publisher.

any suggestions ??

Publisher files can only be opened with Publisher. You can recover the text. In Word,
open, files of type, scroll down to "recover text from any file."

I was able to help him to a point. His daughter's resume was in Publisher
and needed to be sent on for college applications. I was able to convert it
to Word but it needs some serious touching up.
