Default Wrong language spell checker in Outlook express

Recently installed Office 2007. All the language settings are English UK
(changed from the default English US). However, the spell checker in Outlook
express seems to be in French. Also my keboard has transposed the @ key
with the " key and I suspect the two problems are connected.
I've checked the language settings on Office tools, language settings, but
all are OK (English). Any suggestions please.

For the transposed characters, if you don't have the 'EN' language setting choices to use on the bottom right of your Windows
taskbar check in the Windows control panel under
Regional and Language Settings=Languages=Details
to see what Keyboard is set as your default (English US vs English UK)

Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer and it wasn't updated to link to the new English language proofing tools in Office
2007. You can use one of the 3rd party spelling tools for Outlook Express, including these:

A. Vampirefo Spellchecker for Outlook Express:

B. Tinyspell: (has separate U.K. English module if needed)
