I believe the small biz version of office needs a separate purchase of
outlook 2007.

Outlook 2007 is no longer bundled with all versions of office I believe...

No, the only version of Office 2007 that doesn't contain Outlook is Home and Student.

You must remove Outlook 2003 first. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930559/

Default Cant install Outlook 2007

Hi Sue! I'm having the same issues, only when I try the fix at the website,
I can't install Outlook because it's simply x'd out. I have removed all 2003
as far as I know... The only thing I can think of is that there are some
registry entries somewhere that are telling 2007 that 2003 is still around?

Any ideas? This is now holding up my work as my boss needs me to work on her
contacts database for her so any solution would be appreciated...

Thanks!

C.

"as far as I know" probably isn't good enough. You need to get into Add/Remove Programs and make absolutely certain that no versions of Outlook remain on your system. Then follow the steps in the article to get the to portion of the setup that allows you to customize the installation and choose which individual components will install.

Ok, so I was having the same issue and after 2 days of phone calls and hours
of sitting on hold, I was sent to an article. Look for Article ID 930559 for
more details.

It did help to install it but I am now having trouble opening the Business
Contact Manager once outlook is opened. I get a massage stating "Database
creation was unseuccessful because you do not have a valid Microsoft Office
2007 license to use Business Contact Manager."
This is quite frustrating to me because this is the main reason I am
downloading the trial to see if it will work for our company. I can't even
use the one module I need the most.

Did you install the Business Contact Manager trial as well as the Office/outlook trial?

I'd suggest that you follow up on this issue in the microsoft.public.outlook.bcm newsgroup. THere's no particular BCM expertise here.
