Outlook 2007 missing in installation
I have a similiar problem. Outlook did not install as part of Office 2007.
Now when I try to delete Outlook using remove programs I get the following message "The patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it......." Any advice? "Brian Tillman" wrote: BrianK wrote: Will I lose any of my old data? You shouldn't Where do I go to uninstall outlook? Add/Remove Programs, of course. -- Brian Tillman |

Thank you very much for your help. I did uninstall 2007 but cannot uninstall
or reinstall Office 2000 - think it is a problem with Windows installer "Brian Tillman" wrote: alglaser wrote: I have a similiar problem. Outlook did not install as part of Office 2007. Yes, I think I did. The most likely cause of this, then, is the failure of whatever tool you used to copy the old data to the new drive to include the hidden system folder C:\Windows\Installer. Windows Installer puts service pack and update install packages in this folder and it needs to find them there if you wish to make a change to a program. You didn't use MaxBlast, did you? I know for a fact that MaxBlast (from Maxtor) has this problem, although Maxtor wouldn't acknowledge it when it did the same thing to me. I had to manually copy that folder to the new drive before Windows Installer was happy. -- Brian Tillman |
