Can not copy a sheet to another book
When I open 2 workbooks in 2 instances of Excel on my computer, I can not
copy a sheet from one book to the other. It is also not possible to tile the 2 files. When I open both files in the same instance, it it possible to select the other file in the dropdown list. Since I usually open the files from Explorer, I would like to be able to tile & copy when multiple files are opened. What setting should I change? |

Can not copy a sheet to another book
One usual fix for this is in Excel
ToolsOptionsGeneral and uncheck "ignore other applications" Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Fri, 23 Apr 2010 07:26:01 -0700, dveer wrote: I was hoping for some more advanced tips :-( It works on most of the other computers in our office "Don Guillett" wrote: I would suggest opening your files using EXCEL. -- Don Guillett Microsoft MVP Excel SalesAid Software "dveer" wrote in message ... Can not copy a sheet to another book
Unfortunately this also did not help, this box was already unchecked.
Any other ideas? Can not copy a sheet to another book
I would suggest you re-register Excel
Close Excel first and On the Windows Taskbar StartRun "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)OK. See the space between exe and /regserver You might have to designate a full path to excel.exe. In that case StartRun "C:\yourpath\excel.exe" /regserver(quotes required)OK Gord On Mon, 26 Apr 2010 01:19:02 -0700, dveer wrote: Unfortunately this also did not help, this box was already unchecked.
