2007 Office System Staged Deployment
I've created a .msp with select features, excluding outlook which we'll
deploy at a later date, and installed it on a machine. I wanted to make sure I could install outlook at a future time, so I created a new msp that included Outlook. Applying the msp to the machine using a msiexec command line fails. Based on the Microsoft TechNet article http://technet2.microsoft.com/Office....mspx?mfr=true this should be able to be done. Has anyone been able to add applications to an install successfully? If so, what did you do to get this working. Any help would be appreciated john |

2007 Office System Staged Deployment
Ok, I got it figured out. The key to resolving it is the lines in the
article stating "To prevent users from installing this application themselves, select the Hidden and Locked options. The symbols [H] and [L] are added to the application name to show that these options are set." If you don't set the H & L options, it will not work. Hope you didn't stumble with the saem thing.
