Default Office Home and Student 2007 shows uninstalled when installed

I have windows XP and installed Office Home and Student 2007. It worked fine
for a couple weeks, now when I try to access any part of the program, I get a
message that says program is not installed. I've tried to remove to reinstall
but I receive a message saying the program is corrupt and to use the CD to
install. When I try to install with the CD, it accepts the product key and
starts to install, but stops right then and sends a message to Microsoft.
