Default How to format page numbers?

Hi. I have a 25 page document.

Page 1 is a cover page and I don't want any page number.
Pages 2 through 10 I want roman numerals (such as i, ii, iii, etc.)
Pages 11 through 25 I want to start from 1 using regular numbers (1, 2, 3,
etc.)

How do I do this? Every time I do a page break it creates a new page in
between the sections. I don't want a blank page, I just want what I said
above.

Grr, why is this so hard!? Can anyone help? Thanks!

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...rontMatter.htm (Word 2003
and earlier) or
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Format...atter_2007.htm, as
appropriate. Note, however, that if you are starting a section with an odd
page (i or 1), and the previous section ends on an odd page, Word will
insist on inserting a blank even page. It will *not* put an odd number on an
"even" page.
