Default IF fields in forms - call up a FORMDROPDOWN list?

Hi,

Thanks to this board I managed to put IF statements into my form which
autocompletes some questions based on the answers to earlier ones.

However now I want to use the answer to an earlier question to call up a
FORMDROPDOWN. For example if the user answers VW to a question that asks them
what type of car they have, then a question which said what type of car?
would appear with a dropdown list listing different types of VW cars. If they
answered something else, then a different drop down list would appear.

I can use IF statements like the following to autocomplete, but I can't seem
to put a formdropdown list in there. Is this possible?

This is what I have so far:

What type of car? {FORMDROPDOWN} - this has the bookmark Car assigned by
editing properties & contains a dropdown list of car makes

The following is then autocompleted (depending on the answer to Car).
Your contact person is {IF {Car} = "VW" "Janet" "Fred" }

I can put a series of these IF statements together to get different contacts
depending on the make. But I want to call up a FORMDROPDOWN in the IF
statement, from which the user would then pick their car make.

Thanks for any help
I am using Word 2002 w/ XP professional.

Take a look at the following thread in Google between myself and a guy named
Phil. He wanted to do the same sort of thing:

Hope this helps,
