discount entire columns
let me give a more precise example of what I'm trying to do. I have a number of "list prices" in a column lets say column "A", rows 5-10 each have a different "list price". Then I have a mark-up or discount amount ie x 1.4 in cell A1, I want to be able to change the number in A1 to 1.5 or 1.6 or 1.7 or whatever and have every number in cloumn "A" rows 5-10 change to the new amount together. without going to each cell in each column and entering in a formula for each. they are all diiferent prices, but they all will have the same discount. you'll have to forgive me, I used to have a spreadsheet that did this perfectly that someone else made for me so I just took it for granted until a virus wiped out my system now I have no idea how it works lol.
