dates and numbers
hi there, every time i type in a number in an excel cell,
it is automatically converted into a date. i turned off auto complete, tried format, cell, number, but nothing works. any ideas and suggestions? it would be greatly appreciated. |

What, exactly, are you typing? If it looks like a date, say it has slashes or
dashes, Excel tries to interpret it as a date. What happens if you clear the formatting for these cells AFTER you've entered the data?
