Updates for Office 2003...no install disks and error pop ups...
I inherited a desktop PC with Office 2003..the licenses seem to be fine as
far as I can tell. I do not have the original install disks. When the updates try to launch, I get various error pop ups and none of the updates install. Here is what the pop up says: ***************** Microsoft Professional Edition 2003 The feature you are trying to use is on a Network Resourse that is inavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternative path to a folder containg the install package "Pro11.msi" in the box below. * ****************** Am I out of luck without the install disks in hand?...CF |

Is this a computer at work or a home system?

When you inherited that system, you should have either inherited Office
*with* the CDs if it was an OEM copy or if Office was part of the bargain or if not part of the bargain, Office should have been uninstalled. Download and run Belarc Advisor to find the product key. If it contains OEM, you're out of luck without the disks. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Chas F" wrote in message ...
