"display text-only icon in stencil as characters"
G'Day,
Visio pro 2003 SP_1 I am revising a series of stencils that contain text-only shapes. The icons show as default style boxes (they look like checked boxes) rather than the actual characters that showed in the old stencils. So, instead of looking like a 6 it looks like a checked box. How can I make them look like characters? images of problem 15kb total http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/wayf...ld_stencil.jpg http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/wayf...ew_stencil.jpg Thanks in advance |

Right click on the icon and choose Edit Master Master Properties... Is the
box "Generate icon automatically from shape data" checked? For the icon to be regenerated, this box must be checked. You may have to open the shape on the stencil to force the regen. John... Thanks for the reply John, yes the "Generate icon automatically from shape
data" was checked. I tried it a few different ways. I came back to it just now and re-did each shape twice... it worked. Odd huh? Thanks again "John Marshall, MVP" wrote: Right click on the icon and choose Edit Master Master Properties... Is the box "Generate icon automatically from shape data" checked?
