visio 2007 - hyperlinks in web export
Hello all.
I'm making a complex website map (including database calls and session items). To make it viewable by fellow developpers, i plan to share it as a web page. Since the map is rather complex, i'm using a idef0 layout style, so there are many pages. I'd like to know how to link a shape (well, actually a shape group) to a page. I havent found any option related to that feature so far. The double click event wont be applied to the web export, AFAIK. The ShapeSheet doesnt have any option related to the feature i'd like to use. TIA |

visio 2007 - hyperlinks in web export
Hello John,
To insert a link to a page try the following (assumes you have a two page document): 1) Select your shape on page 1 and click Ctrl+K to open the Hyperlinks dialog 2) Click the Browse button to the right of the sub address field to open the Hyperlink dialog 3) Select the page you want to link to and click OK twice to return to the drawing. The linked shape will then emerge after you saved as a web page with the correct link (note zoom level is ignored in Save As Web). If you're only dealing with a limited number of devs you might also want to consider the Visio Viewer: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en and also David Parker's visViewer: http://www.bvisual.net/Products/visViewer.aspx Hope that helps.
