Default Frontpage blocking a site?

I used Frontpage to update my website. All the changes (added some links,
removed some text) were saved and everything seemed fine; I opened the site
and checked that each change appeared. The next day I was unable to open the
site in Frontpage (can't find server on port 80), and cannot even get to the
site through IE (alternately get 'cannot be displayed' and 'site not found')
or Mozilla (times out). What could possibly have been set so that this site
is blocked? I even went into IE settings and entered the site as always
accessible (regardless of how rated) thinking it might override whatever is
in there. The hosting service can't find anything wrong, and colleagues can
get to the site just fine. Help!

You'll probably get a better answer if you ask your question in one of the
FrontPage newsgroups. This newsgroup is dedicated to MS Access, the database
product.

Microsoft's Help system has landed you in the wrong newsgroup: this
one is for the database program Microsoft Access.

Please use the dropdown box (the one that says "Access" by default)
to select a more appropriate newsgroup, one of the
microsoft.public.frontpage groups I presume.

It's not at all clear to me how to "move" my question to the right place.
I'd sure appreciate your help if you know how to do it (I've never posted a
question before)

There are many ways to get to these newsgroups - and I don't know how
you are doing so. But one place to start is open your web browser to

http://communities2.microsoft.com/co...s/default.aspx

Navigate down through English... Office... FrontPage in the lefthand
panel to the desired newsgroup.

Or, use Outlook Express or another Newsreader program (I use Agent)
and set msnews.microsoft.com as your News Server, and select one of
the newsgroups named microsoft.public.frontpage.a variety of choices

I'm guessing you got here through the online Help in FrontPage? If so,
the page on which you can type the question contains a
not-very-conspicuous dropdown box which says "Access". Try dropping it
down and see if it has "Frontpage" there somewhere. Why it doesn't
default to the program that you're calling it from is beyond my
comprehension, but it defaults to Access simply because that's first
in alphabetic order!
