Activating a trial version of Office Standard 2007
My Acer Netbook (note no CD/DVD drive) has a trial version of Office 2007. I
had separately bought Office Standard 2007 and want its Product Key to activate the trial version installed on my computer. It states my key is invalid. Is their a way to get it to accept my bought product key so that I won't have to find an external cd/dvd to connect to my netbook to install it? Thanks, |

Activating a trial version of Office Standard 2007
No, only a product key purchased for a trial version will activate your
version of Office, plus the fact that most computer makers install a version of Home and Student Office, a completely different verison from Standard. You will need to bite the bullet and purchase and external USB optical drive, which will, of course, be useful when you need to install any other program on a CD/DVD only. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
