Default Outlook 2003 MST not applying correctly

Attempting to deploy Office 2003 SP2 over an existing installation with GPO
apply an MST. Install goes fine but seems to ignore some settings in the
MST as follows:

Page 17 - Modify Profile
PAge 18 - More Settings - "Connect to Exchange Mailbox using HTTP" - and all
associated settings.

These settings just do not get applied to existing profiles or new profiles
when Office 2003 is already installed. If the system does not have Office
these settings apply correctly. Migrate user settings is not checked.

Any assist?

Do the setting changes get applied if you manually run the .prf file that the .mst installs?

As you'd manually run any file -- double-click it. The file that the ..mst copies will be in Program Files\Microsoft Office, and you can check the exact location with the MST Viewer tool.
