Outlook 2000 multipal listings in Task Manager
I have Outlook 2000 with all updates running under XP Home, SP 2, with all
updates. If I start Outlook & then Close it, I will still have a listing for it in Task Manager. Should I continue to START/CLOSE/RESTART then each instance of Outlook is listed in Task Manager. So I could have a lot of listings at the end of a day. I have disabled every program/process that I could think of and still get the same result. If I try to do a REPAIR I get the error message "The instillation Package could not be opened........." On the first opening of the day Outlook takes about 15 secs. to open. Any help would be appriciated. DPB |

Outlook 2000 multipal listings in Task Manager
"Brian Tillman" wrote: Thanks Brian; I tried the suggestions but so far I can't find the program whit the HOOK into Outlook. I know that something is keeping it open but I can't find the culprit. I ran a full virus scan, spybot & trojan scan, a rootkit scan all to no avail. I even uninstalled MS Streets & Trips that I use every day. About all thats left that I can think of is to reformat & start again. Unless you might have another suggestion. Thanks again Dave Cardslinger wrote: I have Outlook 2000 with all updates running under XP Home, SP 2, with all updates.
