Default Outlook as Default Profile for Word 2003 - Envelopes and Labels

I'm trying to set Outlook as the Default Profile for "Envelopes and Labels"
in Word 2003. When I choose the Outlook profile and select the "Set as
Default" option it works until I close Word; then I must repeat the process.
How can I get Outlook to stay set as the default profile?

Thanks,
JaxGuyWestside

How many profiles do you have?
What is your default email program?

Also, clarify what you mean by "repeat the process."
What process are you repeating and at what point?
You cannot stop Word from prompting for a profile if Outlook is not running.

Outlook and Contacts are the two profiles in the drop down. Outlook is my
default email program. "Repeat the process" means that everytime I start
word, and choose Envelops and Labels, I get prompted for a Default Profile.
Checking the "Set as Default" option seems to have no effect. Is there not a
way to make word always use Outlook without me having to set it every time?

Thanks for your help!!!!

Word is not prompting for a default profile. It is just prompting for the
profile you want to use. It will always do that whether you've set a default
or not.
If you want to avoid it, just start the merge from Outlook.
