Default Changing browser

Hi,

I have an eMachines T6520 computer with an "enhanced" keyboard. At the top
of the keyboard it has "internet" buttons: "Internet", "E-Mail" "Search,"
"Backward", "Forward" etc..
When I press E-mail, it opens Outlook Express and when I press Internet, it
opens Internet Explorer and takes me right to my Comcast homepage.
It's handy and I guess I'm spoiled.
I just downloaded Mozilla Firefox and wondered if you can tell me how to
change it so that when I press Internet it would open Firefox instead and
still take me to the comcast homepage.
Win XP SP2
My computer is out of warranty and eMachines telephone support is thus
Pay-as-you-go.

Thanks, ... Fred

Default Changing browser

My guess would be: Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access
and Defaults and make FireFox the default browser.

If that doesn't work, try an IE newsgroup. This is OE.

For Internet Explorer questions not pertaining to Outlook Express, please
post to one of the following:

IE6 Specific Newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...er.ie6.browser

IE General newsgroup:

Thanks to Bruce and N.Miller who offered help.

I got lucky. I went online to update Firefox, down loaded the update, and
when installed I got a screen on which there was a link to
"Make Mozilla Firefox my default browser" I clicked that and it took care of
the whole problem.

Thanks, ... Fred
