Default record source lost

I have created several forms based on corresponding tables. When I first
open the form, the table data is not there. If I go to design view, form
properties, record source and select a different table then go back to the
correct table(without going out of properties), the data will show in form
view. If I exit the form (not the database) and open it again, the data is
missing. What can I do to repair this link?

Thanks,
Debra

Are you saving the form when you exit it?
