Default Barcode Scanning

I have a barcode font that needs "*" in front and behind the data to work.
If I have a report that has a Name and control source of "PN", how can I add
these easy?

Thanks, Aaron

Aaron,
Not sure what you want to do.
Are you saying you want to concatenate the asterisks onto the PN.
If so....
= "*" & PN & "*"

Yes, a start and stop for the barcode. I used the exact formula below and
it print error. I found a forum that says to use a active X control for
barcodes but.. $700.. WOW

Nonsense. What Al suggested should work fine as I have used that for years
with a simple barcode font. You most likely made a typo when you entered
it.

What Rick said. You likely have a typo.
