Default Problem: Extra Page on Report

I have a 4 column report (already doubled checked the widths available and
margins). The report has a:
Report Header (1.0417" - visible)
Page Header (not visible)
Date Header (0.2083" - visible - used to display the date and total mileage
for the date)
Detail (0.2083" - visible - used to display each trip and mileage)
Date Footer (not visible)
Page Footer (1.4688" - visible - used to display footer info & totals)
Report Footer (not visible)

When the data fits in the first column, everything is fine and the report is
one page in length. When the second column is used, everything displays
correctly on the first page, BUT a blank (except the page footer) page two is
added.

The only thing I think of is trying to set the total height of the column
(Date headers & Detail sections) to fit within the margins, Report Header &
Page Footer, but there is no setting for this.

Any suggestions???

Aaron,
Try reducing width and height of the report
Make all your control as small as possible.
