Pop3 is not an account name and smtp is not a server name. Get your settings
from your ISP and enter them correctly.

smtp is not a valid mail server name,
it may be valid as part of the server name,

go to your ISP getting started page and get the actual server names,

http://support.cox.com/sdccommon/asp...8-2d56ac32a574
POP Server: pop.east.cox.net
SMTP Server: smtp.east.cox.net

Good catch, Bob. I didn't check the message header, but if the account is
Cox, looking at the time zone, the settings will be:

POP Server: pop.west.cox.net
SMTP Server: smtp.west.cox.net

I'm UTC-0700 as the OP and those are my Cox settings.
