can't open outlook 2007 looking for exchange server
One of my clients loaded Office 2007 and tried to set up outlook. He put in
an Exchange server name which doesn't exist. Now when we start outlook it looks for the server and when it doesn't find it outlook closes down. How do I stop it looking for the exchange server and get it to use a pop3 account. |

Control Panel-Mail Icon-Accounts. Install your POP3 or IMAP account and remove the Exchange account.

can't open outlook 2007 looking for exchange server
I'm having the same problem--you cannot access the options or ribbon, it simply says "cannot open default email folders" and then closes again. Any ideas? THANK YOU!!

Are you able to use the Mail applet in the control panel to create a new
mail profile and delete the old one? (Open Mail applet Show Profiles button Create new mail profile and then delete the old one.) "russ katona" wrote in message ... can't open outlook 2007 looking for exchange server
On windows7, goto control panelmailprofiles
I had one entry Outlook, and I deleted that. I was then able to launch outlook without it shutting down. russ katona wrote: can't open outlook 2007 looking for exchange server 14-Nov-09 I'm having the same problem--you cannot access the options or ribbon, it simply says "cannot open default email folders" and then closes again.
