Default How to open in PowerPoint, not PowerPoint Viewer?

I have PPT 2007, all of a sudden ppt. files are opening in the viewer, not
PowerPoint. How do I switch back to normal PowerPoint?

I did check normal view in the advanced settings area, but things are still
opening in the Viewer.
