I have installed my version of office professional 2003 on two computers so
far, now I am trying to install it on a third and it will not let me because it says the product key is not valid. Can I only install it on a maximum of two computer? |

Theritically you can install Office 2003 on multiple computers but can
Activate it on only 2. So the invalid PID error is possibly because of the below reasons.. -There is a Trial version of Office 2003 Standard on the computer -There is another(or Older) version of Office on the computer. -There is a Stand-alone application(Like Word, Excel) installed on the Computer -Its an issue with the Windows Installer.. 95% of the times its one of the first 3 scenarios. Please goto START CONTROL PANEL ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. and remove all entries of Office and/or any standalones listed there and that should take care of the issue "Brian P." Brian wrote in message ... The Eula states that you can install the Offoce2003 on 2 computers. Like =
a Desktop or a Laptop or any combination of the 2. If you would like to = install it on a 3rd computer you would need to purchase another license --=20 Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. Dummy! The OP can wait 120 days since 1st activation and install it on more

If you would like to install it on a 3rd computer you would need to purchase another license I know that Microsoft removes all activation records 120 days after you first install Windows XP, but I've never heard of them removing Office activation records 120 days after installation. **** NOTE **** You would create a NEW activation record for XP if you activate it again after the 120 days. Of course, you cannot use it beyond the 30 days grace period without activating the product, unless you choose to lie to the Activation support person you will have to call if you activate a second installation of XP after the 120 days, then attempt to activate on the original machine. Please provide documentation for your claim that activation records for Office are also removed after 120 days.
