Default SETTING UP MICROSOFT OUTLOOK EMAIL

I have a home computer and currently use Outlook Express
but wish to switch over to Microsoft Outlook. I have
tried to set it up but it keeps asking me for a Post
Office, including the path. I don't know what the Post
Office is. Does anybody know what this is please? I use
SP dial up connection. I have also exported my Internet
Mail Account settings to Microsoft Outlook and have
selected to work offline and use a dial up connection but
still it asks me for a Post Office path. Appreciate your
help. Thanks

Default SETTING UP MICROSOFT OUTLOOK EMAIL

Hi, Mary

If you used the account set-up wizard in MS outlook 3 you will notice a test button after putting in the required information like: Your name, e-mail address, pop3 and smtp etc. You can then test the connection by pressing the test connection button. If there is a problem it will pop up in a seperate box. If you are not sure of your pop3 or smtp info you can look under tools in the express version, then click on accounts, pick the account that you know was able to connect and use that information to put in your outlook version. Also make sure that the correct account is selected as you default user account. If you can not find or the information in express is incorrect just contact your isp provider they will assist you in setting the account up.

Hope this helped,
Have a great day.

Remove the Microsoft Mail service. That's what's asking for a postoffice. If
you continute to have problems, post your Outlook version.
