Installation won't start because it says space required on D: (CD)
I used the Microsoft msicuu2.exe installation file cleaner that ruined my
Office 2003 setup and a whole bunch of other apps. I'm running on Vista. When I try to reinstall Office 2003, it says 0 MB is available on the CD drive, as if it thinks it needs to write to the CD. I have tons of space available on the hard drive, but it won't let me proceed -- how do I solve this? Thanks. |

Can you perform Custom Install so that you can change the destination drive and folder for installation? hth "Kamran" wrote in message ... Go to Add\Remove and uninstall everything connected with Office and the reboot and
then try the installation again -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. "Kamran" wrote in message ... I still need help with this. I have checked the program list, nothing remains
on the computer associated with MS Office, including updates. Everything is gone. But every time I try to install Office (2003) it gives me the same error. For some weird reason, it thinks it needs writable space on the installation CD to continue, so I can't proceed. I have tried changing the drive letter assignment, but that doesn't help either. This all started after I used msicuu2.exe (not realizing how destructive it is) so I'm sure it has to do with that. I have previously reinstalled Office 2003 on this same machine with no problems. Help! |
