Default 'keep with next' paragraph within a cell in a Table

How do you stop widows within the cell of a table? I do not wish to force
the whole cell of a table onto the next page (which the 'Allow row to break
across pages' options does)?

Unchecking "Allow row to break across pages" forces the whole row onto the
next page. This has nothing to do with "keep with next." I am confused.

Version of Word?

Once you allow rows to break, you give up all control over paragraph breaks.
"Keep with next" operates between rows but not within rows, and "Keep lines
together" doesn't work at all. Sorry. For more, see

Thanks Suzanne. I thought as much. Widows will just have to remain a fact
of life inside cells ...
