Outlook Problems- Plz Help
I had to recover my system last week. (Virus infection and 2 inches of dust
in my tower case) After what seemed to be endless downloads from windows update I am running IE6 SP3. My Outlook is giving me problems 1. Mail Password is not saved. (I have permission in registry, tried to edit registry as stated in help thread here- but it didnt allow me to delete the key) 2. When I try to open a folder while browsing for photo to attach, it attaches the entire folder instead of allowing me to browse and choose the photo! I do not like IE7 and will not upgrade to that. (I need my toolbar wallpaper moslty and the tabs aggrvate me, and I like 6's layout) The help wanted me to install sp2 but I have 3- I am in no way going to do a full recovery again. The thought of a repair scares me a little (I had to try the system recovery about 12 times til it took after I cleaned the dustout) -Thanks for ur help!!! |

#1: Outlook Express keeps prompting for your password
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_oe_passwords.htm Save password setting not retained in Outlook or Outlook Express: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684 Cannot Save E-Mail Account Password in Outlook Express 5 http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=228713 Save Password Check Box Is Unavailable http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=137361 ~~~~~ #2: Not quite sure. Can you open the folder by going to it directly and then right click on the picture and Send To | E-mail recipient? I know this is not what you want to do, but just trying to narrow it down a bit. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "--Straw--" wrote in message ...
